Southern Bay Rose is a welded steel hulled 'A' symmetrical catamaran with 2 turbo charged diesel engines. The deckhouse is a fully enclosed riveted aluminium structure with 2 doors at the stern and bow and 1 at mid ships port side. The bridge is half raised above the superstructure. The vessel has a generous for and aft deck and can load from 3 points. The vessel was built for Condor Ltd and operated around the islands of Guernsey and Sark up until 1990. Since that time she has operated for the summer season as a ferry between Torquay and Brixham, before being brought to Jersey.
Step aboard the "SOUTHERN BAY ROSE" a 50ft catamaran and enjoy a non-stop cruise for "approx" 2½hours along 15 miles of the beautiful south coast of Jersey. Relax & enjoy sights many have not seen. Castles & Old Forts dating back to the 6th century, Dead Man's Bay, Towers & Gun emplacements left behind by the occupying German forces after the Second World War, Janvrin's Tomb, Neolithic Caves, Granite Cliffs towering some 150 feet. Miles of golden beaches and of course the famous Corbiere Lighthouse.
See an abundance of birds & wildlife; maybe even dolphins at play. Refreshments are available in the lounge throughout the trip and the crew will be happy to answer any questions that have not been covered by the Captain's commentary.
